The Day of the Lord

Welcome brothers and sisters!

Today is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it! - Psalm 118:24

We should always do this, for the Lord our God is so good to us amen?  After much thought about what to write with today's video posting, I've come to the conclusion to simply leave it to scripture and Pastor Jaime's very faithful sermon.  Before posting these though, we simply want to encourage you to preach the Gospel at all times, in season and out of season for none of us know when the Lord will return, nor do any of us know who will ultimately believe or not!  There is a day coming, the day of the Lord (not the rapture mind you), and if you are not His at that time, you will be left here on earth during the tribulation time rather than being caught up with the Lord in the clouds as written in the book of 1st Thessalonians 4:17.  The single most important thing we can do in this life, is to be obedient to God.  As Romans 8:28 says,

28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good,[a] for those who are called according to his purpose.

So let us do what we are called to do each day, and not be so concerned with the end times that we lose focus of what we should be doing today.  Bear in mind this doesn't mean the study of eschatology is not important, it very much is!  We just should be so wrapped up in serving the Lord each day and sharing the Gospel, that it drives us to be ready for those end times to come.  Without further ado, our scripture for the night was in 1st Thessalonians 5:1-11, and we will leave it to Pastor Jaime in the sermon video.  We are also happy to announce Pastor Scott is recovering very well and will be back with us in worship on Saturday!  Praise God for a swift recovery and thank you to everyone who continued to pray for our Pastor.
