My Soul waits upon God

Welcome everyone!

Tonight we get to share Psalm 62 and the wonder within.  We encourage you to watch, share and as always check according to the scriptures.  Be sure to take time to study, spending time with God to hear what He has to say in His word.  Psalm 62 is a powerful testament to unshakeable trust in God and the peace that comes from such reliance. Attributed to David, this psalm expresses steadfast faith and resolute belief in God’s ultimate control over all things.

Seeking Refuge in God:

David’s soul waits in silence for God, affirming Him as salvation, fortress, and rock.

His steadfast faith ensures he will not be greatly shaken.

Rebuke of the Wicked:

David laments the duplicity and malice of those who seek to topple him.

Their lies are likened to a tottering fence—fragile and unstable.

Exhortation to Trust in God:

David encourages others to trust in God at all times.

God is presented as the ultimate refuge, power, and steadfast love.

Vanity of Earthly Power and Wealth:

The psalmist proclaims the lowliness and transience of both high and low estate.  Trusting in extortion or wealth is cautioned against.

God’s Power and Steadfast Love:

David acknowledges God’s ultimate control and just reward for deeds.

In times of turmoil, Psalm 62 reminds us to find refuge in God alone.
