Welcome everyone!
We invite you to review our summary from Saturday night's sermon on Ephesians 3:1-13, always remembering to check everything through the lens of the scriptures. Everything we do in life, must be reviewed through the scriptures...God's word gives us the way to live rightly. Don't forget that even the Apostle Paul called the Bereans more noble than others, as they checked everything he said to the scriptures to make sure what he said was true!
The Mystery of Christ Revealed: Ephesians 3:1-13
In Ephesians 3:1-13, Paul unveils a profound mystery that had been hidden for ages but is now revealed through the gospel. This passage is a powerful reminder of God’s plan for humanity and the boundless grace extended to all.
Paul begins by identifying himself as a prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of the Gentiles. He emphasizes that the mystery was made known to him by revelation, a mystery that was not disclosed to previous generations. This mystery is that through the gospel, the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members of one body, and sharers in the promise in Christ Jesus.
Paul’s role in this divine plan is to preach to the Gentiles the boundless riches of Christ and to make plain the administration of this mystery. He highlights that this revelation demonstrates God’s manifold wisdom, which is now made known through the church to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms.
The passage concludes with an encouragement not to be discouraged by Paul’s sufferings, as they are for the glory of the believers. This section of Ephesians is a beautiful testament to the unity of God’s plan, breaking down barriers and bringing together all people under the promise of Christ.
In reflecting on these verses, we are reminded of the incredible grace that allows us to approach God with freedom and confidence. It challenges us to embrace the unity of the body of Christ and to live out the love that Paul so passionately preached.
We hope these sermons, and our radio messages are helpful in your Christian walk and encourage you to come and worship with us each week all starting Saturday at 7pm. We like to sit and fellowship afterward with a meal too! With that said, until we meet again...lets go serve our King!
